Wow. I'm a slacker with the posting.
Let's see...
Foster doggie is greatly improved. We're about 90% potty trained, he's even rung the bells to go out and go potty.
Kimberly is visiting from Indiana until July 24th. I wish I didn't have to work but, I gave up all my vacation time when I switched jobs. So far, the best thing we've done is haircuts and mall shopping. We did do volunteer stuff on Saturday - the rescue I work with (and foster for) had an event at a giant mall. We got lots of exposure and I believe we've had 5 or 6 applications for dogs because of the event. Sadly, no one yet has applied for our doggie. But, someone will because he is someone's perfect doggie. We also went to the Southwest Museum.
This weekend we're shooting for the Art Museum, the Mineral Museum and wall-climbing. And maybe Salt River tubing. This maybe a bit too ambitious, especially given Kimberly's fondness for sleeping in, but hey, why not?
It's been hot and miserable here - 110+F with 20% humidity. It actually sprinkled the other night. I've rigged the sprinkler system to go off everyday to try to keep the grass alive - as well as to go off when the dogs are outside and can play in the sprinkler. They like the water and it gets them all wound up to cool off, I think.
Work is acceptable though sometimes frustrating.
Diet/exercise isn't the greatest - foster dog and Kimberly have cut into my exercise especially. I'm trying to watch the food intake, but I am still an emotional eater. And, I've been having grande chai lattes at work. Yum. But yuck on the diet - too much freakin' shugah.
