  • Etiquette question.

My old supervisor from work, the lady from whom we got Mr Indiana, puppy extraordinaire, has agreed to puppy sit for us while we are gone to the state of Indiana for Thanksgiving.

For giving us the puppy, we gave her a PetSmart card.
What, think you, we should give as a gift or thank you, for puppy sitting for a week?

  • I think gift cards are a perfect route to go, especially if they're for a specialty shop - it forces the receiver to splurge, rather than waste the gift on practical items.  so yeah. gift card again. maybe to a restaurant or another shop.

  • A restaurant gift card/certificate is always nice, or a spa card - enough for a manicure, or a facial or a pedicure, let her pick (if she's the type that would like that.) Or a Chapters gift card, maybe? Even if she doesn't read, there's other stuff to buy. (ok, so a gift card for basically anywhere, can you tell I like gift cards? !)

  • I agree with DayinMay a restaurant gift certificate is probably a best bet.

  • i vote for a restaurant gift certificate, too--even before i read their responses. :)
