Packing is done.
At least at home - not so much so at work. I find it humorous that I shall be packing there too.
All that remains now is to move my computer - that is going on
Wednesday. Though it will be in an entirely different shape than it is
now. My poor little thing does need a revamping. And a new DVD drive as
mine is dead. Apparently Windows 98, even the SE, is a bit out dated.
Of course, I have to finish yanking that which I actually want off of
my computer. I also have the necessities - contact stuff, soap, clothes
for the days until Friday, that sort of stuff. I've got probably one
more load full of stuff ready to go over the fiance's house, just
sitting in my living room.My poor cats are very, very concerned. Stuff is leaving, I keep going
away and their lives are just slightly upset right now. Somehow, I
think that on Friday when I stuff their fat-asses into cat carriers and
cart them across town that they are going to be even MORE upset.
However, that will have nothing on their displeasure when I shut them
up - alone - in a little room. They will not be allowed out without
supervision for about a week or so. I don't think having giant-ass cat
fights in the middle of the bed while we try to sleep in it will really
work.Hopefully, this plan can be stuck too.
However, things never really follow plans and I know this. My
grandmother is in the hospital and has been for over a week now. I
drove up to see her with my sibs and the babies (3.5 hours and then 3.5
hours back). She is in the ICU (again) and we were allowed only a few
minutes to see her. I'm personally preparing for the worst. I just
really hope my parents make it back from Hawaii (their second vacation
in over 25 years of marriage) to see her.***
I'm thinking that things are going to be odd when I first am actually
LIVING with the fiance. We both have very specific ways of doing
things...and I'm thinking the period of adjustment could be a little
longer than I'd like. However, we do both actually discuss what we want
done specific ways - for example, he likes to wash his towels (all
white and matching) in hot water with bleach and fabric softner and I
have a specific order in which I insist upon washing my dishes (cups,
plates and bowls, pans and then silverware) and I also insist that
knives NEVER go in the sink until the washer puts them in there.
Perhaps we're weird but I think we can get along. *snort* Now if only
the cats will...I'm also anticipating being caught doing things. Such as...plucking
hairs or facial masks or (even worse) my dancing in my underwear and
singing along at the top of my lungs to golden oldies while I clean
habit...I'm sure it will be humorous eventually.

I think it's going to be just fine. And I bet he'll like watching you dance around in your undies!
^ I was going to say, he might laugh, but I doubt he'll tell you to stop.
Biggest lesson from worrying about him discovering my weird living habits?
He has them too.
Turns out in the end that you're both a little weird, which is what makes the relationship work.
Catching you in the middle of stuff like that is why he wants to move in.
