  • So I know that most people who steal aren't really bright. But whoever stole from my bike...

    I have an odometer/speedometer as well as a under-seat storage
    doohickey. And I used to have a velcro-ed on bottle-holder. Last time I
    rode my bike, I tossed my cheap-ass tire pump in there (a little
    mini-tiny $5 one).

    Someone cut off the bottle holder (leaving the velcro attachment part still attached to the bike) with the tire pump in it.

    Didn't touch the odometer which is worth two or three times as much.
    Nor the under seat storage --- or the quick remove tire --- or the
    seat, all of which are worth a great deal more than the tire pump.

    If you're going to go to the effort of stealing from a bike...why not steal something that's WORTH something?

  • At least you still have your bike. My bike was stolen a couple of months ago... the bright side of that is of course that now I have a brand new bike :)

  • I find it amusing that they weren't smart enough to just unwrap the velcro and at least get an under-seat storage doohickey that would actually work, along with the bonus of the $5.00 bike tire pump.
