*ahem*
Last night was the last night of 10 hours.
And my last night of 3rd shift.
(does happy monkey dance)
Hopefully my last third shift ever - but who knows. I'm moving to B
shift at Stride Rite - an alternative 1st shift (930a to 6p). Not the
greatest hours - but I get to sleep at NIGHT. I miss sleeping at night.
Fuck, I just miss sleeping. Also, since I don't have to be back until Monday at 930am, this means I have a 2 1/2 day weekend. Mmmmmm.
(does another happy dance)
I also interviewed at Staffmark (temp agency) in Fort Wayne and they're
job hunting for me. I do love it when people look at my resume and ask
why the hell I'm in their office. *sigh* However, even if they can't
find me a job in my field, maybe they can find me a job that requires
less driving or less working.Strangely, I find that I'll miss lots of the people I work with. I
never figured that I'd relate better with the people that I work with
now - the...er... unwashed (LITERALLY) masses - than the people I
used to work with - the uber-educated, ultra-liberal crowd. There were
many of those back in Grad school -- my favorite was the girl who was a
vegan, primarily to save the environment, but who also flew to
Tennessee from Ohio every other weekend to see her boyfriend.I am glad to see this week end though. Ten hour shift precluded my
normal Wednesday activities (read as: Sex). And I really would like to
have said activities. This week has also been somewhat...blah. The weather has been beautiful
for most of it --- at least while I was sleeping. I did dye my hair -
but I was disappointed that yet again, my hair decided to become the
color it wanted to be not the color I wanted it to be. I wanted coppery
blonde...it's more copper. Damn Big Lots clearance hair dye.I've also managed to injure myself, especially my hands on a regular
basis this week. Peaked last night when I gashed open my right palm on
the elevator...which is a bitch when driving a standard truck. This entry is all over the place. For that I apologize, but I've been up forever and I still have errands to run and the like...

Man, they should put a warning label on any hair dye with red in it: WILL NOT LOOK LIKE COLOR ON BOX.
Yeah, I would like to have said activities, too.
Well, I happen to like copper hair, so I'm sure you're beeeeeautiful.
I hate it when hair dye goes wrong... fortunately even if it does, usually it's at least somewhat palatable until next go-round. Hope your hand gets healed quickly! Ouch!
