holy shit, my roommate washed the kitchen cupboards
*falls over*
Of course, since I hadn't cleaned since last Tuesday, I guess even she couldn't fail to notice the amount of food she'd left stuck to the cupboard.
gods, I'm passive aggressive...someone needs to kick both of us I think.

Hey, any of you cat people know/use ground corn + baking powder (soda?) as a substitute for commercial cat litter?
I'm tempted...what with three cats, I'm going through litter like crazy (on top of nearly 1lb of cat food a day) and I need to find something cheaper.

My goal, for tonight, aside from finishing up with the watching of Buffy Season 5, is to begin my packing for my trip to Oregon on Saturday. I'm bringing layers...but I also want to fit all my clothes for 4 days in a carry on, because I HATE checking luggage!
Anyone fly SouthWest? What's their policy on needles? I want to bring my cross-stitch but I don't know if that's legal or not?

While in Oregon (Portland), I so far, plan to go to Powell's Bookstore...but I dunno where else...I'm thinking of regional food products? How about ice cream? or pizza? What would you eat if you were there?

Three cats does get expensive. But I wouldn't trade them.
I think if I told you what I would eat if I was there, you would slap me.
(sorry, can't help it today)
I like the Rialto in Portland. But then, that's because I like dark, shady bars filled with pool tables and dingy-looking-characters.
well first, i'd use baking soda, not baking powder. nothing needs to rise, just get absorbed. =O) other than that though i've never even HEARD of doing that for cat litter. if it works, tell me! i've got 4 of these little poop machines and if there's a cheaper way to go that is also healthier for them, hell yeah I say! =O)
if you can't get Tillamook ice cream in Ohio, you should add that to your required list of things to do while in oregon. Specifically, the chocolate peanut butter kind. you will not be disappointed.
you're visiting someone here, aren't you? I can't remember...i think you said at some point that you were visiting your sister maybe? anyway, if you have access to a car, take a day trip out to cannon beach. that's oregon in a nutshell for me. if it's decent weather, take a drive up to mt. st. helens and do a little sight-seeing. or of course you could always come up to seattle. *grin*
Other than that, i usually just shop a lot while i'm in oregon. no sales tax. =O)
