I’m nearly finished with my old cross-stitch. I bought it on clearance at Garden Ridge. Now I just have to find a 5″ by 5″ frame to put it in and damn, it will be cute.
My newest cross-stitch was a bit more expensive. It just came in the mail last week. I love it, the kitty in the cross-stitch looks like my baby Possum-cat.
I want a new cat. Not a kitten. I want a big, middle-aged male cat who likes to snuggle but who would also like to beat up my kitties. However, I don’t want to go through the hassle of Humane Societies. I don’t like how much they want to know about ME. I’m not into sharing that much information. However, I’m also thinking of volunteering at a Humane shelter or else at the Cat Welfare Association. I don’t know that I really have time, but I think that I should make time. Maybe doing something like that, helping cats and dogs and spending time doing something other than just being a good little grad student would be good for me.
My new roommate. *shrug* Still in the undecided category. Not because of anything that she does or did – hell, she even cleaned up my whole apartment while I was gone (I was quite all right with that, anyone who cleans my apartment makes me happy). It’s more because she is everything I wanted to be. For always. She’s tall and slender, dark complected with beautiful skin. She is a brunetted with cute hair and good nails. She has multiple piercings which don’t detract at all from how pretty she is. She also happens to be smart (PhD student), funny and nice. She’s done oodles of things. She travels in India, she is living in San Diego and moving to Chicago. Granted, she is older than I and had more time to do anything…but still. It’s hard not to feel incompetant and well, short. *sigh* Oh well. Not her problem. My problem.
I’ll be in trouble come Monday. My boss will be back, after a month off. I am working on my research proposal – it’s still pretty damn rough though. Blech. Anyone want to proof-read? Please? I’ll email it to you. However, while that is being done – there is the main thing that I can’t get done. I’ve gotten the protocols written and all that shit – finished setting up our Imager (evil Kodak!)…but the actual research…*sigh* There are several steps to the process that I do, and the final step, the last part…yeah, it won’t work. And I don’ tknow why and neither does anyone else that I’ve asked. Frustrated is me. VERY frustrated.
