and I will borrow this from my beloved ex-roommate
who borrowed it from ani -
we hold these truths to be self evident:
#1 george w. bush is not president
#2 america is not a true democracy
#3 the media is not fooling me
***
the countdown continues
the unemployment figures are up
college graduates can't get any job having anything to do with their degrees - french fries with that?
gas prices soar
terror alerts are on "high" - but americans won't let that change their ways of life, because that would be letting the terrorist "win" (yeah, because really, they care if you go eat a cheeseburger and have a beer or take that weekend trip to the lake)
the stock market rose the day after a war announcement - but appears to be settling back down...
what does all this mean? I really have no idea...except that I still have this niggling little suspicious feeling at the back of my mind that all of this is a covert operation to cover up something much more insidious...

Yick. This all makes me sick to my stomach.
And don't you know? We aren't saying "French Fries" anymore. That's called "Freedom Fries" now, since we're boycotting FRANCE!
Damn Yankees.
People would rather tell anyone supporting or protesting the war to be quiet...War = Death, but as long as it's someone else's...American's will go right on with their mundane lives...that sucks
But hey - at least the NCAA tournament is going on as scheduled.
(Me and Jerod were laughing so hard about this. How could they have 'delayed' it?? Won't some of these guys be graduating??? Okay maybe not.....)
Good gravy. I am ready to instigate a coup here in America. Really.
I thought that ID be the roommate in question. guess not.
yeah, I wonder about that too . . . I swear we don't know everything >wrinkles brown<
1) George W. Bush IS president
2) America is as much of a true democracy as you'll find. Simply because you don't agree with the president's decisions, doesn't mean the majority doesn't either.
3) unemployment is significantly lower than most countries
