I know I’m tempting fate to say this, but I don’t actually think today was awful.

I’d say that there was no way that tomorrow at work could be worse than today.
But that’s what I thought yesterday.
And the day before.
And I was WRONG.
Here’s for anticipating another day of misery, pain and ridiculously overcomplicated emergencies compounded by the stupidity of business folks.
Blech.

I would like some different hormones please.
I have one week of being relatively normal (at least, for me).
Then I have one week of pre-PMS raging hunger.
Then I have one week of PMS bitchiness and inner rage.
Then I have one week of bleeding from my vagina.Seriously, it doesn’t seem fair to be feeling hormonally challenged 75% of the time!

I was going to blog on being an atheist and being a minority by choice….
but I ate some chocolate and I’m now feeling too calm to write something so potentially incendiary. So I’m going to go to happy hour and eat some boneless buffalo wings and then maybe some soda. Sound delicious, no? I’ll save the blog for another day.

It rained this morning. This is the first rain that’s hit my lawn for this year’s monsoon season. Yeah, AZ has a monsoon season. I didn’t know that either, until I moved out here. It’s basically about mid-June through early September and it’s when we see the wicked high humidity (50%!! And sometimes more!), a lack of wind and those awful high temps. It’s usually still sunny but without that breeze we have the rest of the year and with that high humidity (yes, I know, some of you live in places with much higher humidity – but now take that humidity and make it 112F or so – then we will compare temperature bitching) — it’s just brutal.
Sadly, since it rained this morning, we did NOT go to the dog park and Joshua did not take the dogs on Monday while I was in bootcamp. So we took a short 20 minute walk this evening (it was down to 102F by 1830 so it wasn’t too bad). This took a bit of the edge off of the puppers – but not enough. Here’s hoping it doesn’t rain tomorrow since I have bootcamp (a new camp with new people, a new trainer and in a new location that I get to try to find at 0500 in the morning!) and since the dogs really need some dog park freedom. And if it rains, I will still go to bootcamp but going to the dog park in the rain is difficult. Mr. Stodgy Butt (also known as INDIANA) does not like to get his ears wet or his butt wet. Getting him to potty in the rain is hard enough! Last time there was raining at the dog park, he tried hiding under a tree and then under a picnic table and then under me…

My computer was down most of the day yesterday – and I was having a lazy Sunday, so I didn’t post. I did buy two new pair of pants that ALMOST fit. And by almost fit, I mean they only give me a little muffin top, require a belt but do NOT have the ridiculous I-can-fit-two-hands-down-the-back-of-my-pants gap that all the other pants did. I don’t know how anyone can buy clothes nowadays. They are all pretty much impossible to fit into if you’re anything like a shape.
I smashed my middle finger on my right hand at work while moving my gas tanks. It hurts pretty much awful bad, even just typing is pretty miserable. Blech.
I went back to bootcamp this morning. HOT. H-O-T! It was 92F when I got there. I took an electrolyte beverage and will continue to do so. I don’t need the extra calories but I need the extra hydration. An hour of brutal exercise, outdoors and in the sun – and that Gatorade (or Gatorade-knock-off) is mighty tasty. Sadly, there don’t appear to be enough people this session to go to my normal bootcamp with my normal trainer. If that continues to be so, instead of driving 4 miles each way to get to bootcamp, I’ll be driving 10 miles or more each direction. Yuck. But I’m signed up for a 6 month time period – so even if I don’t go, I pay a monthly fee. So, I WILL go. But I’m going to bitch.

Four hour volunteer meeting today. It was good to see all the folks but there weren’t enough dogs to pet. I’m looking forward to event season though. I think I’m going to go to the Rally to the Rescue event in Arizona Mills mall next weekend. Yeah, that’s an event IN a mall. It’s got sweet AC!
Now I’m just waiting for a friend to call so we can go out for pizza! I LOVE Grimaldi’s pizza!
