  • A Day in the Life of Me…

    On any given weekday…

    0445
The alarm (or the dogs) go off and I get up, feed the dogs and let them potty while getting dressed for the gym.

    0500
Out the door to the gym for at least 20 minutes of cardio with lifting at least twice a week.

    0600
Home from the gym, splash the face and get the dogs in the car to be to the dog park at about

    0615
Stay at the dog park until about

    0715
And then home, shower, eat breakfast (egg, overeasy, on a whole wheat english muffin topped with Laughing Cow Light Cheese wedge and 1-2 slices of smoked deli ham – extra thin) and leave for work by

    0830
Leave for work and drive 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the severity of traffic that day…

    0900
Work, work, work until I leave at about

    1800
And drive home another 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the severity of traffic that day…

    1845
Feed the dogs, cook my dinner and then go outside with the dogs to let them run off the 10 hours worth of sleeping in the kennel time. We go to the dogpark again if I have the energy, or a walk if I’m motivated…otherwise, it’s ball time in the backyard or maybe some obedience work with delicious puppy treats.

    2045
Brush the teeth, wash the face and into the bed with me and the dogs. The kitties require their pets and then I am allowed to sleep until about…

    0300
When the puppies nearly always have to get up to potty…
and then lather, rinse and repeat…

What is your normal day like?

  • Weight Watchers – Week 6

    I admit it.

I was naughty (and not in the I-need-a-spanking kind of way).

I had Taco Bell last Friday. (20pts)
And two of those little deep dish Red Baron pepperoni freezer pizzas (also 20pts) on Saturday.

And then on Friday I had Martinis and Manicures with the girls and had stuffed sammiches (one with chicken, brie and roasted tomatoes and the other with portobellos, garlic and feta), mussels in a to die for white wine sauce, a crispity pizza with grilled chicken, olives and feta. Oh, and the two pots of chocolate fondue that we five split amongst ourselves. But hey, the fondue came with raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, bananas and brownies! I don’t even know or want to know how many points this was.

I still managed to lose some weight. I will take my 0.6lb weight loss and where my little green Bravo sticker with pride.

Of course, part of the reason that I still lost weight is that I during the past week went to the gym 7 times and did at least 20 minutes of cardio all 7 times. I also did one endurance work out (60 minutes on the treadmill at a moderate level), one high level interval work out, one core session on Sunday (oh ow! my poor abs) and two total body lifting sessions (Saturdays and Wednesdays). I’m sure that helps. And explains why I hate the alarm clock so much – as I get up to go to the gym at 0500 (well, the alarm goes off at 0445 but I’m out the door at 0500).

Yack. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is hard. HARD. Somedays I just want to sit on my ass and eat bon-bons.

  • Weight Watchers – Week 5

This week’s loss was 1.4lbs. This brings the total to 13.6lbs and my weight down from 192.8 to 179.2.

Sadly, this means I lose a point (25 each day instead of 26).

I did make it to the gym 5 times since my last weigh-in – doing 1 day of lifting, 1 day of core and cardio on all five days.

I think I call this a good time to buy my new shoes!
I was going to get them at 10lbs but I didn’t feel well enough last week when I passed that goal. So now is as good a time as any.

Now, I need to think of something for my 20lbs goal (which will also be my 10% goal loss).

Anybody have any thoughts? I’m thinking of anything non-food related in the $50 to $100 range.

  • And then there were more pictures (because I went lifetime and uploaded lots)
