Month: May 2007

  • Goodness!

I just paid off another one of my credit cards – that leaves three more to go!

And. I have a potential offer from another company —– First shift and a research position!

  • I don’t post enough.

I really do think about posting more, writing more, being here more, commenting more…
but something always seems to get in the way. I forget topics, things happen, LIFE happens and things spiral out of control.

So an update will follow in a non-sequential sort of format.

We replaced our sliding glass doors in the kitchen on Sunday due to an accidental rock/window meeting. It was ugly but at least the new door is pretty.

Mr. Dog graduated from Intermediate doggie obedience on Saturday and then ate his first bird on Sunday!

     graduationday

We start Click-a-Trick in a couple-three weeks and follow that with Advanced training and then perhaps his CGCs?

    We’re contemplating fostering cattle dogs.
I may be volunteering for one of the cattle dog rescues in the area to write their monthly newsletter (ballsy of me, I know).

I cut off all my hair about three weeks ago – cute short bob cut that I usually spike all crazy-like with some sticky glue substance.

I had a second interview on last Friday with a company – day shift, research-type position. I supposedly hear back about it this week.

I bought tickets for my little sister Kimberly to visit for two weeks in July. The heat will make her sad but hopefully she’ll enjoy everything else – including the mall - that we plan to do.

My in laws visit in about three weeks, followed by my husband’s friend and then my SIL. Busy end of the month, eh?

I contacted a friend that had fallen out of contact with me (see this entry). She had taken one of the puppies that were from Indiana’s litter. I had just found out that two of his other sisters had been given to a foster group after being extremely neglected and malnourished. I wanted to make sure that this other puppy was all right. Turns out that the puppy had been given up a long time ago - supposedly to a good home. I don’t know how much I believe her but I like to think it’s true. She also had been in a horrific car accident in March and part of me felt very sorry for her. But part of me is hurt/pissed and incredibly irritated that she got rid of the puppy she wanted so badly – and yet kept another dog and then went out and got a NEW dog. I have just decided that I cannot deal with her. So I got my cross-stitch books back, wished her luck, told her no hard feelings and I will let her continue with her life. It’s sad in so many ways…
