  • Talk about impatient.

The Job that I want might or might not call today to tell me if I got
the job. And boy, do I want it. I'm all kinds of nervous and I really
don't want to leave the apartment, in case they call but I do have
    errands to run.

I have an interview scheduled with the community college (in case I
don't get the above job), but if I do get it, that means I have to call
them and tell them I got another job. I feel very weird about this. I
suppose it is better than not showing up but it still feels kind of
    rude, you know?

In good news, the table is up and we have our computer OFF the floor.
My closet is unpacked and I LOOOOOOOVE it. Hello my beautiful walk in
that is about 4' by 6' (if not bigger) and has three shelves and three
racks for clothes. All my clothes, plus my dresser, all my shoes, three
laundry hampers and all my cross stitch stuff along with my wicker
trunk full of blankets (not sure how useful that will be here) and all
my luggage - it all fits. And I have room for MORE! (Suppressing the
strong urge to shop and fill UP this beautiful closet).

    Goals for today:
1.) Finish unpacking - at least what I can.
2.) Rearrange the storage unit so that the bikes, the coolers and the handcarts fit. All other items are negotiable.
3.) Get my car emissions tested.
    4.) Go grocery shopping.
5.) Contact the office and determine rent due date as well as utilities.
6.) Try not to stare at the phone and will it to ring with good news.

  • A watched pot never boils. Fer crissakes, go do your errands!

And headhunters are TOTALLY used to potential candidates already getting hired before their interveiws. Obviously, you are looking around and you're going to take the best job for you. They know this. It's not rude AT ALL. I'm sure you'll even get a "congratulations" from them. Seriously. Don't be nervous.

Got my fingers crossed for you!

  • I'm slobbering over that closet, man.  I miss the huge closets from my old house soooo bad, man.  Teeny apartment closets stuffed to the gills suck!    Good luck with the job!
