  • PATIENCE.

I'm not good at it myself.

    I hate to wait.
    And wait
    and wait!

Not just to hear back from my interview, no that would be bad enough.
But now I'm waiting for the sem-truck trailer full of my stuff. It will
    be here today.

    But between 10 and 3.

Five hours to wait. Anticipate. Be bored and want a chair.

    Ah well.
Things are very very good here. Next week we're going to a Cirque du Soleil show in Scottsdale. It's called Corteo and it looks seriously awesome. Who am I kidding - it's a cirque show - it WILL be awesome no matter which show it is.

I've also found a radio station to which I am addicted. Way. Check out their general playlist of
the type of music they play. Of course, they may be awesome, but I
still have no idea of any other actual radio stations in the Phoenix
metro. Perhaps I'll learn quickly, but for now, I'll just live-stream
from the radio stations website (as my radio is somewhere on a truck
which will be here today sometime - maybe).

So far so good with the apartment complex though. The gym was more than
a little disappointing - I don't know if I'll use what little equipment
they have anyway, or if I will join an area gym once I am gainfully
employed. Our neighbors appear to be college age kids and families -
mainly hispanic with adorable adorable babies. But soooo quiet. I am
frankly astonished that any complex is THIS quiet. I've lived in
several - some where there were lots of families as well, but never at
one that was this quiet. The only time I really know we even have
upstairs neighbors is when they take a shower. I think they have a kid
too. I'm very very impressed with this complex so far.

Oh, and someone has a very very fat english bulldog with a big sloppy
tongue and fat rolls on his stumpy tail. Watching his master trying to
take him for a walk the other day amused me for a good long while. He
didn't want to walk so he either went really slow or just laid down -
and no way in hell was he going to budge unless someone wanted to pick
up his fatness. It was adorable.

    The truck is here!

  • oh, Cirque de Soleil! I am so jealous!!
My friend has a bulldog that she takes for 'walks' with him in a wagon. He absolutely will not walk, but once they get to the park he will wander around a bit, but she got tired of carrying him there and back.

  • I've always sucked in the patience department myself, but I seem to be getting better at it.  Either that, or there are hella few things in my life that aren't worthy of impatience.
