  • Hi, my name is Kelly and I’m an addict.

    A clearance/sale/shopping addict.

But it’s soooo cheap/such a good price/I’ve always wanted one/it’s good for me.

    Multitudes of platitudes, dude.

Today was a kicker though, I went with a friend to Michael’s – the
craft store. To buy little cards to put floss on and give it labels
(not that it’s really important but when you do a big cross-stitch, the
biggest bitch, even worse than all those wee little x’s is trying to
keep straight which color is dark olive drab green and which is medium
drab green  and which is khaki, dark khaki or medium khaki – hence
the use of little cards which you loop the floss onto and give each one
its little name so that you can keep all those damn shades straight).
However, we walk into the cross-stitch aisle to big signs that say “All
    Needlework kits 40% off!!!!”

    That’s a bad sign.
    And a good sign.

I only spent $70. But now I fear I need a new box to pack cross-stitches in!

Otherwise, the weekend was uneventful but good. Full of multitudes of
eating and coke consumption (bad me). Monday starts my full on Curves
    diet.

Week 1: 1200 calories, 90 grams of carbs (which I originally wrote as
crabs, which would be rather tasty and low in fat) – 6 meals a day.

Basically, I’ll be eating every 2 hours or so. That’s a lot of meals.
Wee little tiny ones. We’ll see how this first week goes – after this
very restricted phase it jumps to 1600 calories and 130 carbs….

  • I have to remind myself of all the kits I still have to finish or I’d be right there with you at the check out. I don’t buy those little cards, though. I buy rings. I braid my floss. All I have to do is pull out the required number of strands and they are stitching length.
