Month: February 2005

  • Just got off a Saturday shift. Eight hours of overtime.
And, since I am kind of a dork, I calculated how much the shoes that I packed were worth…

I packed 1,824 shoes tonight that retail at Kohl’s for $69.99.
That is $127,661.76 worth of shoes that I put into boxes and shipped
out today (that doesn’t count the number I picked or the number of
shoes that I don’t know the retail value of that I packed.)

And how much did I make while I did this?
Without my bonus money (which is typically around about $1 an hour) I made $13.13 per hour ($8.75 * time and a half) – $105.

  • Nary a word from Penn State

I don’t know if I’m upset because I haven’t heard from them or if I’m
upset because I’m NOT upset because I haven’t heard from them.

  • Happy Birthday to me!
I am officially 1/4th of a century old.

    I think I’m going to go take a nap….

  • I may live in a wee little rustic town where nothing ever happens.

But damn, can I ever get cheap groceries.
I just bought 6lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast, 2lbs of tilapia
and 6 Smart Ones (weight watchers meals for work) all for $25.

  • 10 hour shifts can lick my sweaty nut-sack
    If I had one.

I hurt in places I didn’t know I could still hurt.

  • This website is cracking me up.

Seriously though, Valentine’s Day was VERY good. The combination of the smell of roses and leather is a heady one….

  • A sign that my hometown is a wee bit on the “country” side of the US….

For the “Miss Huntington” pageant (er, scholarship program!) one of the
competing young ladies is singing the song “He Thinks my Tractor’s Sexy”

  • Talk about disappointing:

I took a bite of my deliciously toasty subway
chicken-and-bacon-and-ranch sub with everything and some black olives
on it. Or at least what I thought was my yummy, yummy sandwich. But
noooooooo. It turns out to be my mom’s quasi-religious, AshWednesday,
cold seafood sub with no pickles or green peppers or anything green and
    crunchy on it.

    *sigh*

    Very very sad day.

  • The coolest thing I’ve bought in a long time called my name yesterday
while I was killing an hour in Kmart before I had to pick up the
    Crumpet from school.

    This movie is friggin’ awesome.

  • ugh

    mothering hell

job rejection and Purdue rejection all in less than 4 hours.

    suck my ass
