  • Draft #2 of my thesis finished.


    Given to all relevant people.


    Have date tonight.


    Going home to vacuum rabbit poop.

    My friend called me at work to beg me to come pick her up after her car broke down. No problem. I hop on my bike, book my hiney home in record time. I pick up the mail and I was allll excited that I got three patterns from my eBay auctions in the mail. I toss them on the cupboard, grap a drink of water and then call my friend to let her know I’m on the way.


    An hour later, I’m home, post ice cream and dropping my friend at the hospital for her shift.


    And guess what. My sinks OVERFLOWED with hot, dirty water. All over my cupboards and onto my floor.


    Guess what was on the cupboard?


    My cross-stitch patterns. Which now have water damage spots on them…I don’t know if they’re going to be salvagable or not.


    And fuck. I wasn’t even running water. Not even the sink, the tub or the dishwasher. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.


    And of course, since it was already 6pm….that means that at the earliest, the maintenance man might be here tomorrow afternoon.

    The sink did it.


    Again.


    I have now called the emergency line in the building and asked my upstairs neighbor to NOT run anymore water.


    *sigh*


  • I just framed this one, although I used a blue mat. Looks damn spiffy if I do say so myself.



    This is the one that I’m currently working on, I’ve finished the 5 birds in the center and I’m about 2/3 done with the wooden post.



    This was my favorite hair color EVER. Unfortunately, it was discontinued. Woe unto me!


  • All I want right now

  • 1.) Today I had to get up early to come in and train a wee little Pollyanna type. Blech.


    2.) This weekend was a good weekend for a visit from my friend Colleen


    3.) We went shopping.


    4.) A lot.


    5.) I bought army pants from the Korean war era.


    6.) And a wicker trunk to put blankets in.


    7.) I shouldn’t write lists because they really don’t make much sense.


    8.) I also am now an eBay addict and I bought this pattern on eBay because it made me laugh.



    9.) To counter the dorkiness of that image, I will post a picture of my niece, Sloane.



    10.) She has four teeth. The two bottom front ones and the two top canine teeth. She looks like a little baby vampire.
