  • pisser.

parked my bike on my front porch, about 2 feet from my bedroom window two night ago, because it was wet and i wanted it to dry out, so as to avoid wetbutt syndrome from the seat and so that when it was dry i could wd40 it.

it was there last night at 1230
this morning at 1030, it was not

someone stole my friggin’ bike that was cable-locked to the railings, right outside my front door, about 6 feet from where my actual head was sleeping.

    pissed.
    pissy.
    crabby.
    Son of bitches.

had to call police, landlord, buy new bike, cancel trip to zoo to see lights….

and the new bike is PURPLE.

I am so NOT a purple person.
    ghetto-cheapass target bikes.

    fuckit.
i am going to take a nap.

  • that’s my dad and my new niece, Sloane.

    He likes babies.

  • you are olive
    #808000

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you’re definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people’s concerns, you’d rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random “gut feeling”.

Your saturation level is very high – you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too hard but you have a lot to show for it, and it keeps you going. You shouldn’t be afraid to lead people, because if you’re doing it, it’ll be done right.

Your outlook on life can be bright or dark, depending on the situation. You are flexible and see things objectively.

  • oh fish eggs

    I hate bad dreams.

I also am just unmotivated this week. Aside from the cranky that seems to be me this week that is, I cannot get anything done. So…babybabysteps…and we’ll start with my bedroom…theoretically if I don’t clean the bathroom or the living room or the kitchen for LONG enough, my roommate might actually be motivated to get off her skinny hiney and do something? (Bwahahahahahaha!)

Packing…packing for Oregon…what do I need? Anyone from the Pacific Northwest, what’s the weather like? Are we talking 40s and rainy and windy?

  • so i says to myself, self, you’re an awful cranky bitch

and then i says, gee, i wonder why…my list is un-done, i got all poked and prodded by an old man (unhot) doctor, cruises cost too much money and i am poor

but i’m also going to oregon in less than two weeks, my three kitties adore me and i’m nearly done christmas shopping (one present, two present, three presents left!)…

    so why with the crankies?

  • Home.

Home is my happy, happy apartment, full of my happy, happy stuff and my bed and my sheets and my kitties and my food.

I was at my “other” home in IN. I do love to visit, but I don’t think I could stay. I like having my own place, being able to walk around in my underpants (when the roommate isn’t there) and a whole slew of other things that you just can’t do at your parents house.

That being said…I miss having interactions with real people, hearing that same story again, changing poopy diapers and washing a bazillion (really, it was, I swear) dishes. But only because I don’t do it all the time. I think I appreciate all that and more, only because my typical life is pretty mundane. Take today for example… a normal Monday for me:

6:45am Alarm goes off for the first time, smack snooze and roll over
7:00am to 7:20am Alarm continues going off and I ignore it until the pestering from the four legged alarm clocks sets in and drives me from my warm bed
7:21am Drop can of cat food into cat food bowl, head to shower, enjoy good scratch on the way there
7:35am Clothes and breakfast (cold cereal and water, sometimes a vitamin and a clementine if I feel saucy)
    7:45am Brush teeth, find keys/coat/gloves/turtle fur/bike helmet
8:00am Hit the road to work
8:30am Arrive at work (assuming no one ran me over)
9:00am Lab meeting to discuss everything we did or didn’t do and all the things that managed to go wrong in the two days of last week that we actually worked
10:30am (on a good monday that is) we finish the lab meeting, work until the next meeting (PCR all the way)
11:30am TA meeting, lasts until I finally leave
12:30pm Lunch – today was chicken noodle soup (campbells) and an apple and water
12:45pm work until class (well, xanga until class, but whatever!)
    1:30 – 2:48pm BIO101 Lecture where I play babysitter
3:00-4:00pm Office hours where, since no one ever comes, I’m reading the textbook Principles of Development
4:00pm – remove PCR, diddle around for awhile, leave for home
4:45pm – arrive at home, throw some food product on the stove to eat and feed the cats (again)
5:15pm – clean up dinner dishes, clean/sweep kitchen (oooo and tonight I’m cleaning out the fridge!)
5:45pm – vacuum apartment and clean bathroom
6:30pm (or so) – change sheets, remove all dirty cups from bedroom (never know how those damn things get there anyway)
7:15pm – typically it is Buffy Time (season 4) but since I need to unpack from the long weekend and sort through all my Darlington Farms loot, I’ll skip the Buffy
8:30pm or so – snack on something vaguely healthy or else splurge and eat a package of cookies
9:00-11:00pm – “free” time, play online, chat with people, play literati (anyone want to play?)
11:30pm – wash face, brush teeth, take out eyes, sleep

It’s a whole big long list, and yet…I don’t really DO anything in there. *sigh* oh well.
