  • So.

    A question.

Impending reunion. I don’t fear being unimpressive. I’m relatively happy with where I am. I’m single (kinda) but stable. I have my own place, a car. I’m not drowning in debt. I have one degree and I’m working on another. In short, I’m pretty much exactly where I planned to be back in high school.

I’m also much hotter. (If I dared, I’d post high school pictures) So, my question – what to wear to the reunion. It is “casual” – and I asked what that meant, and I got nothing less than khakis. Which is a shame, because I have some hothot jeans.

So. Khakis and a nice shirt? Grey dress slacks? Sundress? Any thoughts?

  • The Sandman makes me horny.

  • my current mood…
roughly equivilent to that of an in heat rhino during a drought in the savanna with a spear stuck in her ass a baby rhino asking are we there yet? every thirty seconds a thorn in her foot really bad hair a tooth ache and a yeast infection…

  • did you know that today is Wednesday?
    I didn’t

    whoops

I thought it was Tuesday all day.

  • I hate the “e” word.

I don’t want to do it.

I hope I’m retaining water and that my pants will fit next week.

    argh

and it’s hot and wet and my cats peed in my papasan. Any recipes to get rid of the smell of cat piss? I’m trying Febreeze, but I’m up for homebrew too.

Also, a man question, for you men. Today, while driving, I got a nice honk by the truck driver next to me, who also sped up and kept even with my car for a good two miles.

Why? Is this a compliment of some kind? Is it supposed to be anything other than kinda freaky, slightly dangerous and really annoying because he was blocking my access to the other lane? *mutters*

  • I drive home through a small town on Rt. 33 called “Neptune.” It’s in the middle of small town rural Ohio, full of farmfields and not far from Amish country. Closest big city – 1+ drive.

There is a small Christian church I drive past everytime that tickles my funny bone.

“Neptune Church of God” it reads on the sign.

heh. Just makes me wonder if any of them have heard of the god Neptune?

  • 5 year high school reunion is in 16 days – I guess I better buy some new mascara so that I can be hot when I go (my old one dried up, which is understandable as it was 7 years old!). Though, I suppose, as compared to my high school days, I’m going to be damn hot no matter what I show up in – be it a plastic bag or a slinky summer dress…so that’s somewhat comforting.

We’re moved into out new lab and are making chemicals. I’m fighting with our computers – yay me, goddess of technology. I have to schedule Fall quarters classes soon, and take a 4 day seminar in how to be a TA and not get eaten by gigrondous football players. I am slightly worried about teaching. And I am being cracked down on in the lab…I have to pick a commitee, write a proposal and get some data, some results that don’t absolutely suck. Oh, and I’m also supposed to go to conferences. Gag me with schmoozing!

But, I am headed home for the fourth. I will eat raspberries and mom-food. I will play with my niece. I will swim – and possibly skinnydip. But I will NOT be going on any bike rides (6 miles a day I ride – 30 miles a week, minimum~!)

  • our lab was supposed to move today
    the movers were behind.
    everything was packed.
so we had NOTHIN’ to do.

    so, we found stuff.

we took a field trip to my apartment and my friend’s apartment – to drop off chairs and pick up my ID so I could get my check

we went out to lunch at a cute little chinese/thai place in Grandview

I then picked up my check, deposited it and then went shopping at Urban Outfitters (big sale $74 worth of stuff for 7.50$!!)

then we moved some stuff on our own and played in the new building, poking at things and such like

I took a nap on the couch in the hall way

god I hope the movers are there tomorrow…I do not know how much more leisure time I can bear at work!
